Brain Damage (fr)
Brain Damage is a dub duo bass-machine. It was created in 1999 and after a first maxi CD and a compilation produced by its own label (Bangarang), Brain Damage realized 2 albums with the dub label from Paris, Hammerbass. In 2006, the duo signed at the label Jarring Effects and produced a third album : Spoken Dub Manifesto. In March 2008 they released their latest album, Short Cuts, exploring more (sub)genres and boundaries than ever. One gradually passes from a folk psychedelic "floydien", with a kind of electro-techno minimal, via an enigmatic trip hop, without forgetting the digital dub which contributed to make the reputation of the duo at the time of the first two albums.
Live Brain Damage releases crude and sensory energy, or "...where sensations become physical again, sub basses tangible and the fight against the straightness of the machines merciless".
Tcha-k Fédérateur (fr)
Breton group which produces a dub which devastates the eardrums, Tcha K Federateur imposes its style in 2005 with the release of Plan-D. It imposes a style which returns a little to the sources of the French dub with the beginnings of Zenzile or High Tone, an energetic mixture of skank of the couple bass/drums. Tcha-K Fédérateur 2.0 will take us on board on their explosive, infernal machine which our feet and our heads cannot resist.

Ok, this one stays a bit of a mystery (not for us, of course). The only thing we can say, is they are on the same (quality)label as Brain Damage, Jarring Effects, and they just realised a new album. Anyway not to be missed, that we can assure!

Yes indeed, the bxl-connection will be present again. They will provide you some nice dubby tunes in between the live bands and you can also expect some heavy bass invasion for the after-party.
