At nine AM one morning, leaders of Jamaica's downtown music scene, Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, "Chinna" Smith, Andrew "Bassie" Campbell, "Obeah" and Mikey "Boo," stepped into Bob Marley's Tuff Gong Studios. By midnight they had created Live and Direct. This instrumental and dub album was created under the guidance of bassist/producer, Andrew "Bassie" Campbell. "Bassie" is the mastermind behind Mr. Bassman All Stars (YTR-1224.) This newest release proves that he continues to play an integral role in the next generation of Jamaican music.
